Joji Kojima

Joji Kojimo creates beautiful heavily-bejeweled pieces often with a dark, baroque reference and a nod towards fetishism such as hats made of crystallized teeth and gold-chained rabbit muzzles. Although most famous for creating the chain mail mask worn by Lady Gaga on the cover of  her Fame Monster Album, he has also been commissioned to create exclusive collars for well to do Chinese Crested dogs! Love it! Born in California, USA in 1987, he started making jewellery at the age of 15 although went on to study Graphic Design at Tama Art University majoring in graphic design, photography and typography.  Prior to launching his label he honed his talents assisting the couture brand, Yoshiko Creation Paris. Lady Gaga made a guest appearance on Music Japan wearing Yoshiko’s black umbrella headpiece “B-612”  (from the Le Petite Prince collection) which gave instant recognition and press to the label. Later Kojima launched his own custom brand Hotel Gluttony and produced his chain mail mask worn by Lady Gaga which instantly catapulted him into the limelight where he continues to shine. From his latest collection 2010-11AW he now uses his new brand name Joji Kojima
